The load versions of the E-Hitch. Only suitable for load trailers up to a towing capacity of 80 or 100 kg.
The Weber E-Hitch is designed to fit as many wheels as possible. It is mounted on the axle of the rear wheel using the patented polygon fixing system to prevent it from twisting.
Due to the wide variety of bicycle dropouts and gear designs, our hitches will not fit all bicycles. Often thicker special polygons are required for quick-release axles, special polygons for hub gears or the X12 replacement axle.
For safety reasons, a safety belt with a metal buckle must be attached to the drawbar when using the E-Hitch from 2017 onwards.
Scope of delivery: 1 EL hitch or ES hitch, 1 washer, 3 standard polygon inserts (for quick release with 2.5 mm and 5.5 mm thickness and for solid axle), assembly instructions.
The EL hitch (up to 80 kg towing capacity) and ES hitch (up to 100 kg towing capacity, only when connected to a fixed or quick-release axle) are exclusively designed for cargo trailers.
Due to the wide variety of bicycle dropouts and gear designs, our hitches will not fit all bicycles.
Special polygons are required for some sporty bikes and for hub gears. These can be found under accessory hitch systems! Longer quick-release axles are often required here.
Version E is one of the best-selling bicycle hitches on the market. Apart from its proven safety, the reason for this is its unbeatable ease of use, thanks to its patented bayonet locking system.

The E, EL and ES hitch versions are all mounted in the same way on the rear axle of the bike.
The E-Hitch is the most universal of the three hitches and therefore the most commonly used. Cushioned with an internal rubber buffer, it is suitable for transporting loads and children.
Our hitches are only approved for bicycles and pedelecs (max. 25 km/h), not for S-pedelecs or e-bikes over 25 km/h! An E-Hitch cannot be fitted to rear wheel motors!
For safety reasons, we always recommend that you have the hitches fitted to your bike by your dealer.
We want to remind all dealers and end users that they are responsible for the entire bicycle trailer system and its correct functioning in terms of product liability!

Mounting on the bike
The E-Hitches are attached to the left rear dropout using the quick release, the bolt-on axle or the Weber replacement thru axle. A polygon insert, which engages in the dropout of the frame, secures the hitch against twisting and is used to adjust the angle of the hitch.
There are assembly problems with:
- Rohloff gear hubs with solid axle. The Weber ER-Hitch is recommended here if a sliding Rohloff dropout is available.
- Bicycles with short, vertical dropouts
- For tricycles or special bicycles, please contact the respective manufacturer, e.g. HP Velotechnik; Hase Spezialräder; Arved Klütz etc.
- cannot be used with dropouts that open horizontally to the rear (e.g. almost all Gazelle models)
- cannot be used with bikes made of carbon or with carbon dropouts and carbon rear triangle
